Defense News Members receive Defense News - the Legal Journal for New Mexico Civil Defense Lawyers - published quarterly by NMDLA. Members may serve on the Editorial Board and contribute articles and news.
Member Networking Member brownbag roundtables provide an opportunity to socialize with peers, share ideas, and listen to speakers discuss a wide range of civil defense issues. The NMDLA facilitates small, informal discussion groups that allow members to explore current topics of interest with their colleagues. The Young Lawyers Committee encourages personal and professional development by engaging new members in social and networking opportunities among peers and more seasoned members.
Amicus Brief Program NMDLA writes and submits Amicus Briefs on issues of exceptional interest to the civil defense bar. Briefs and their case outcomes are maintained on the NMDLA website.
NMDLA Website The website - www.nmdla.org - is an important source of information for NMDLA members; a portal to register for NMDLA activities and CLE seminars, renew memberships, and find archives of Defense News issues, a compilation of verdicts and other accomplishments from members, summaries of state court cases, and amicus briefs filed. By logging into the members-only-portal, members can update their contact information and access a current online member directory.
